MiCom 2012 - International Student Conference on Microbial Communication
The International Student Conference on Microbial Communication (MiCom) is a meeting of Ph.D. students and experienced researchers from all over the world who will actively discuss and exchange ideas on different aspects of microbial communication.
Topics include the interaction of microorganisms with the host including Pathogenesis and Symbiosis, the Environment, a mixed session called Molecular communication - and the use of physical sciences and bioinformatics to study them. It is a great opportunity to learn about the recent state-of-the-art approaches in the investigation of microbial interactions and to meet scientists working in the same field. The program includes scientific talks, poster sessions, inspiring workshops in small groups (‘Meet the Expert‘) given by leading scientists in the field of microbial communication as well as social and cultural events.
Topics include:
- Microbe-host Interaction: Pathogenesis
- Microbe-host Interaction: Symbiosis
- Microbes in the Environment
- Molecular Communication
- and also the use Models and Methods to study them
