International Conference on Laser Applications in Life Sciences 2010
The International Conference on Laser Applications in Life Sciences 2010 (LALS-2010) will be held in Oulu, Finland, on June 9-11, 2010. It is jointly organized by Optoelectronics and Measurement Techniques Laboratory of University of Oulu (Finland) and International Laser Center of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia).
The LALS-2010 is intended to provide the frame for presentation the latest developments in research areas where lasers are used to investigate biologically relevant molecular and macroscopic systems and processes. Traditionally, main purpose of the LALS conferences is to bring together scientists from East and West working in the frontiers of laser physics, spectroscopy, biophysics and biochemistry, who share common interests in the given areas.
History of the LALS series goes back to 1986, when the first conference was organized in Prague, Czechoslovakia. The following conferences have been held in Pecs, Hungary (1988); Moscow, Russia (1990); Jyvaskyla, Finland (1992); Minsk, Belarus (1994); Jena, Germany (1996); Bratislava, Slovakia (1998); Tokyo, Japan (2000); Vilnius, Lithuania (2002); Moscow, Russia (2007); Taipei, Taiwan (2008).
