Biophotonics 2011

Biophotonics is a research area that utilizes light-based technologies in medicine and life sciences. The vision behind biophotonics is to gain a full understanding of the origins and molecular mechanisms of diseases to diagnose, prevent and treat them. Since its multidisciplinary nature, the BIOPHOTONICS Workshop is intended to provide a forum for experts working in the fields of biology, photonics, physics, engineering, with special emphasis on optical sensing, material selection, interfacing and probe design applied in a medicine and life science perspective.
