Photonics4Life is targeting at profound training of young European PhD researchers in biophotonics by specialized training-schools in order to reach an effective, sustainable education for the future of biophotonics. Training schools on the one hand are held in cooperation with other biophotonics institutions throughout Europe, and on the other hand are specialized stand-alone P4L schools.

On Wednesday Italian researchers have won the first prize in the Innovation Village Awards of the Photonics Europe, the largest conference on optical research in Europe. The aim of this school is to support early pharmaceutical research by training young post-PhD investigators, by promoting the exchange of knowledge, supporting skills and know-how and providing access to various technologies.
