Summerschool on Clinical Biophotonics

The summerschool of P4L offers a new approach towards interdisciplinary learning in Biophotonics. To foster education and communication across disciplines one half of the lecturers and the attending students at the P4L Summerschool will have a medical and one half a technological background in Biophotonics. Topics are consequently lectured by speaker tandems to shed light on the matter from both angles.

Topics

Medical Topics: Infectious Diseases, Urology, Cardiology, Neonatology, Oncology
Technical Topics: Biophotonics Raman Spectroscopy, Intra-operative light-based diagnostics, Micro Manipulation of cells, Optical Coherence Tomography

Lecturers:

Medical Prof. Dr. med. Michael Bauer Clinic for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, University Hospital Jena
Prof. Dr. med. Bernhard Brehm Dept. for Cardiology, Catholic Hospital Koblenz
PD Dr. med. Alexander Karl Dept. for Urology and Polyclinic, University-Hospital Munich
Prof. Dr. med. Katarina Svanberg Dept. for Oncology, Lund University Hospital
