P4L & COST Training school April 2010

The first 2010 training school for P4L students will take place together with the ESF COST Action MP0604 "Optical Micro-Manipulation by Nonlinear Nanophotonics" in
Visegrád, Hungary frm 19th to 23rd of April 2010. All details can be found at http://www.brc.hu/cost2010/index.html.

The school is aimed at graduate and postdoctoral students. It will provide a comprehensive introduction to the latest achievements in optical micromanipulation, theory and applications in biophotonics and medicine. The school is based on tutorial lectures given by distinguished experts, representing the cutting edge of the field, both in technical development and interdisciplinary areas. The students will also have the possibility to introduce their own work.
It will be organized together by Pal Ormos and his team from Szeged University, and from P4L by the group in Twente, represented by Martin Bennink. The organizing committee is: Kishan Dholakia, Mattias Goksör, Pal Ormos, Antonio Sasso, Francesco Simoni, Vincent Toal, and Cornelia Denz.

Photonics4Life is supporting the participation for each student with 400 €.
Students that like to apply should follow the instructions on the web site, and send an information to Cornelia Denz (http://www.uni-muenster.de/Physik/AP/Denz/) if they apply.

Deadline for application is 8th of February for COST participants, which is actually indicated at the web site. The deadline for P4L students is about a week later, at 15th of February.
