Biophotonics Week

The BiophotonicsWeek is a series of conferences, workshop and schools on Biophotonics to be held in Quebec City, Canada at the end of September 2010.

The Week comprises:

  • The second international conference on Neurophotonics, with invited and contributed papers and posters
  • In parallel with this, a workshop-format meeting on Biophotonics in Infection, with the aim to establish collaborations between California and Canada, and extending internationally.
  • The 2nd ICOB meeting, an intensive ‘think tank’ format to develop roadmaps in different areas of Biophotonics, and with active participation of researchers, end-users, industry, government and finance. For this meeting the topics will be
    + Biophotonics in the neurosciences
    + Biophotonics in infection
+ Biophotonics to accelerate drug discovery
  • In parallel with ICOB, a School on Biophotonics, targeted at graduate students, postdoctoral fellow and others interested in entering the Biophotonics field
  • The 11th biennial meeting of the International Society for Optics Within Life Sciences (OWLS), with the main themes of Diagnostics, Therapeutics and Analytics, and with strong graduate student at post doc participation through contributed papers and posters.

Please note that each of these meetings will be limited in number (between 50 and 150), so that interactions will be maximized. More information can be found on the website: www.biophotonicsworld.org/biophotonicsweek
